Birdroom Lighting Dimmers simulate sunrise and sunset mimicking natural conditions by brightening up over 30 seconds. This avoids startling the birds when they may panic and fly into the side of their cage.

On turning off, the lamps will dim over 30 minutes to allow your birds a last feed and time to reach their roosting positions.

The time clock models also allow you to extend the light period to induce breeding and early moulting.

They are easy to install and are all fitted with a 2 metre input cable and plug.

Birdroom dimmers are manufactured in our own workshops so we can offer full-after sales service backed by a one-year guarantee.

In the fight to combat Global Warming eventually the ordinary tungsten filament lamp will be phased out, in its place we have the halogen equivalent which give a longer life, a crisper more efficient light, is fully interchangeable and of course you can dim it, unlike the energy saving compact fluorescent (CFL).

We have changed our product names – the products are the same design and operation.

Automatic Dimmers for Bulbs

The Birdroom automatic dimmers have the convenience of a time switch giving the advantage of the lighting being controlled even when you are not in.

The Birdroom Automatic Dimmers have the convenience of a time switch so your lighting is controlled even if you are not in. The digital clock has eight different time periods available, we factory set the first for morning and the second for evening so you can easily reset them to suit you. Your setting will be repeated every day and even remembered even if there is a mains fail. The clock also shows the current time on the easy to read LCD display. There are no mechanical parts to wear out and the unit is sealed to keep dust out. All models have manual over ride and control up to 400 watts of filament or halogen bulbs.
All the Automatic Dimmers are housed in a sturdy metal enclosure 140w x 200h x 50mm deep

Automatic Dimmers with Fluorescent Switching

Standard fluorescent tubes cannot be dimmed so this unit offers an Automatic solution. You have one cable with fluorescents and one with lamps (see wiring diagram below)..On switch on. The bulbs brighten over 30 secs and then switch the fluorescents on, the bulbs then fade out leaving the florescent on until switch off time when the bulbs brighten to full again, switch off the fluorescents and then fade out over 30 mins. dimmer wiring diagram

Flulux Model Auto Timer Dimmer with Fluorecent switching

This unit operates up to 400 watts of standard Filament or Halogen bulbs on the dimming circuit and can switch up to a maximum of 3 x 5foot or 5 x 4foot single tube fluorescent fittings. If you need more capacity please contact us to discuss your requirements.

Night Light Option

Some breeders think it is beneficial to have a low light on in the birdroom all night. This can prevent night fright in flocks of birds or allow breeding birds to feed through the dark hours.

On the lights out sequence the bulbs will not dim out completely but fade to a light level which you can program to adjust to a level which suits your purposes.

Extended Brighten Up Sequence

Some breeders like to have the brightening sequence increased.

We can supply any dimmer model with a brightening sequence of 30 minutes in place of the normal 30 seconds if desired.

This must be specified at time of placing your order.

Spare Fuse Packs

The Dimmers electronic circuits are protected from damage with quick blow fuses on each lighting circuit. All new Dimmers are supplied with one spare fuse for your convenience, 2Amp for Manulux Bulblux models 5amp for to BulbluxPlus model and the Flulux requires 1 x 2Amp plus 1 x 5Amp Order spare packs now to be sure you are never without the correct fuse for your Dimmer.
