Full Spectrum Lighting for your Aviary Birds

Birds are often kept in indoor birdrooms and even when large windows are provided they will inevitably be deprived of ultra violet (UV) light, which is normally provided by direct access to natural sunlight.

A lack of UV light leads to vitamin D3 deficiency. D3 is essential for calcium to be metabolised. Birds, unlike humans, can see UV colours; in UV light their mates can have a subtle change of colouration which is not visible to us.

Full spectrum lighting can improve breeding success, improve your birds' health and you will notice the difference in their colouration. Full spectrum lighting can easily replace your existing fluorescent lighting. Simply replace the tubes.
