We offer two types of fitting - Switch Start and Electronic High Frequency. Although the HF are more expensive they use 20% less electricity - they start immediately, do not hum, have no flicker, the tubes last longer so wil probably pay for themselves within 1 year. Al fittings accept T8 26mm diameter tubes (industry standard).
Biolux lamps from OSRAM emit a daylight spectrum which includes UVa + b which is needed to keep your birds healthy if they do not have access to natural daylight. Glass and plastic will block these parts of the spectrum UVb heps the metabolism of vitamin D3 to aid absorption of calcium required for bone formation. UVa assists with breeding performance as birds can see UV light and their mate could have feathering highlighted by UV light. All biolux Lamps are dia. 26mm Connection T8 Rated colour 6500 kelvin Colour rendering 90 (Ra). Uva +b 300muW/cm2 Bird tubes can easily replace your existing fluorescent lighting. Simply replace the tubes they fit any standard fluorescent fitting.
